Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless .380 ACP serial number 135497 and American Eagle Luger Model 1900 7.65mm serial number 6060 - these pistols are from the estate of Brigadier General Dabney O. Elliott. This Luger has all the characteristics of the 1,000 test pistols ordered by the U.S. Government and based on the available historical information, it's inconclusive if this pistol was one of the actual test pistols. (Some collectors count only those guns from the known Bannerman sales following the military trials as legitimate Model 1900 Test Lugers.)

The Luger has all the characteristics of the 1,000 test pistols ordered by the U.S. Government and based on the available historical information, it's inconclusive if this pistol was one of the actual test pistols. Of note, the style of American Eagle on pistol 6060 has "squared tail feathers" which is the same marking as those observed on pistols 6005, 6018, 6020 and 6048. Examples 6893 and above have been observed with rounded tail feathers.
